Impact Hub Kathmandu (IHK) is seeking a Program Officer to join our team. The Program Officer should have an understanding of social fiction and with a good educational background, professional experience, critical and strategic thinking ability, creative skills, interpersonal qualities, focus on tangible results, possess a collaborative 'can do' attitude, desire for continuous improvement, and genuine passion for leveraging storytelling as a tool for social impact.

Job Description:

1. Presentation of Global Brand Convergence (CBC) to aware the audiences regarding the concept of social fiction.

Develop engagin presentations to introduce audiences to the concept of social fiction. These presentations will serve as a platfor to educate stakeholders about the intersection of storytelling and social change, emphasizing the role of CBC in driving this narrative forward.
Develop compelling narratives and messaging strategies to effectively communicate the significance of social fiction to different audience segments.
Share insights, case studies, and best practices, demonstrating CBC's expertise and influence in driving positive change through storytelling.
collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maximize the reach and impact of CBC's social fiction initiatives.

2. Create a Youtube channel and social media page to share video animation for storytelling.

Create a dedicated YouTube channel and social media pages for CBC to curate and share video animations designed to captivate and inspire viewers.
Conceptualize, make, and edit video animations that convey key messages and narratives.
Foster a dynamic and interactive online community by actively engaging with audience across social media platforms.
Monitor the performance of digital content and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize reach and engagement.

3. Organize on-site social fiction workshops in a minimum of 2 schools/colleges to build awareness around social fiction and host an open space for participants to craft and share their social fictions.

Develop engaging and interactive workshop curriculam tailored to the needs and interests of the target audience.
Guide participants through a series of activities and exercises designed to stimulate creativity, critical thinking, and empathy.
Oversee the organization and proper implementation of storytelling showcases where participants will have the opportunity to share their social fictions with their peers and other members of the community.
Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of the program and identify areas for improvement.

Qualification and Skills:

Candidates from any academic discipline are eligible to apply.
Passionate in content creation, storytelling, or media production, preferably in the realm of social fiction or related fields.
Familiarity with various forms of fiction writing, such as short stories, novels, scripts, and interactive narratives.
Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and engagingly is crucial for creating impactful content and raising awareness effectively.
Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate interactive workshops or similar educational events.
Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities, deadlines, and project requirements.
Attention to detail in planning, execution, and evaluation is essential for ensuring the success of programs and initiatives.
A genuine passion for storytelling and social change with a commitment to using the power of fiction to inspire empathy and provoke critical thinking.
